Rui-Li Inge, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Rui-Li Inge (ray-lee INJ) grew up in Japan before coming to Maui for high school. She has always felt a strong bond with animals and knew she wanted to dedicate her career helping animals. Throughout high school, she volunteered at various local animal sanctuaries and was a frequent volunteer at Maui Humane Society. After graduating from Seabury Hall she studied neuroscience at Northeastern University in Boston. While at Northeastern she completed full-semester co-ops as an animal care intern at Franklin Park Zoo and radiology technician at the renowned Angell Animal Medical Center. Dr. Inge went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Colorado State University in 2023, including externships at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington and Angell-affiliated Daktari Animal Hospital in Tokyo. Her special interests include dentistry, feline medicine and cardiology. Dr. Inge is happy and excited to return home to Hawaii for her veterinary career. For her, the best part of the veterinary profession is being able to help establish and protect the human-animal bond. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, traveling and spending time with family, friends and of course her pet cat Goma.
